Pawpaw is a native shrub or small tree commonly used in wildlife habitat plantings, forest edges, and conservation landscapes. Growing up to 25 feet tall, it tolerates partial shade and produces large fruit that serves as an important food source for wildlife and is also enjoyed by people. Its distinctive flowers provide resources for pollinators, while its ability to thrive in woodland settings makes it a valuable species for enhancing habitat diversity.
