Cornus amomum | 1-year seedlings, 10–24"
Silky dogwood is a native shrub commonly used in riparian buffers, stream restoration projects, and other conservation plantings on moist sites. Growing about 10 feet tall, it naturally forms dense clumps that help stabilize soils and reduce erosion along streambanks and waterways. Its fruit provides an important food source for birds and other wildlife, while its dense growth offers valuable cover and nesting habitat.
